Echo 360

About Echo 360

Echo 360 is a lecture capture platform now available to UT Dallas faculty and staff. Echo 360 features both personal and classroom lecture capture. Personal lecture capture software is available for download once an account has been requested. Echo 360 recorded lectures are made automatically available through corresponding eLearning sections. Please note: all Echo 360 lectures are maintained for one full academic year before being deleted to maintain space. Special accommodations for long term recordings can be requested and will be handled on a case by case basis by the UT Dallas Echo 360 team.

How to Request an Account

For faculty and staff: to request an account, please send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

For Student Workers, Teaching and Research Assistants, to request and account,  please send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

Once a request has been processed, lecturers will receive a confirmation email from [email protected] with information on how to access their account. Once an account has been created, the following must be provided to the echo360 team in order to begin recording:

How to Request Classroom Captures

There are 2 steps to requesting classroom recordings. First, lecturers must reserve the room through the registrar to ensure that rooms won’t be double booked, or lectures interrupted. The following 3 rooms may be reserved through the registrar for recording: ECSN 2.112, ECSN 2.120, ECSN 2.126. Once the room has been booked through the registrar, lecturers must email [email protected] with the following information (please note, multiple lecture captures may be request at once, state if the recording is recurring to do so):

Studio Capture

A small Echo 360 recording studio is also available in the Green Hall. The recording studio does not require a reservation with the registrar. To request a studio recording, please email [email protected] with the following information:

Personal Capture

Once a lecturer has an account and has provided course information to the Echo 360 team, they are then able to download the Echo 360 Personal Capture software.
